最近看了一部电影《叶问 4》, 在影片接近尾声的时候，叶问有感：“外国的月亮没有更圆”。
As the film drew to an end, IP Man felt deeply “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence”.
我的同感还是很深的。文化差异一直都在。所谓的融入、不过是更懂得如何在文化差异的夹缝中从容地谋生。自己在异国生活的这些年，见过很多人很多事。对故土的种种困惑不解也变成了接纳和谅解。在对生活的深度解读之后、逐渐意识到所有生活的无奈都是必然。而真正能把生活过得活色生香的人都是懂得以幽默心态面对生活的人。正所谓：“人生如戏、太认真你就输了”！人生的真谛就是能够拥有平衡的心态。在理解生活本就艰难之后才能更好的拥抱生活、从而生活变得容易。人生最好的状态就是：每天能够踏实得睡个好觉、做一些喜欢的事情、然后顺便把钱赚了。羲和葡萄酒传媒的两位创始人就是在意大利生活的两个异乡人。我们在这个以“工作难找、机会难寻”而闻名的国度里看到了自己独特的价值和看似饱和市场中的机遇。越是艰难日子里越会把自己的能力提高。
I honestly feel the same way! Being an expat in a foreign country has always been more challenging. The so-called integration is just a better understanding of how to live a life contently, living within the gaps of cultural differences. I have seen many people and many things over the years living in foreign countries. All the displeasures I felt towards my homeland in my younger years are now views that I can more easily accept in my heart of hearts. I gradually realised that all the difficulties in life are inevitable after gaining in-depth perception, the people who can really make life colourful are those who know how to enjoy life with a good sense of humour. As the common saying: “Life is like a game, if you take it too seriously, you will lose”! The essence of life is to have a balanced mindset. Only when you understand that life is inherently difficult can you embrace it better, and eventually can travel the road with more ease. The best state to be in is to be able to sleep like a baby each night, do the things you enjoy, and then earn a living along the way. The two founders at Helios Wine Media are two expats living in Italy. We have seen our unique value recognised in a seemingly saturated market, in a country famous for “hard to find jobs”, but it seems that the tougher the challenges, the more our skillsets & talents improve, it is all about rising to the challenge and surpassing expectations.

IP Man, who suffered from cancer and wanted to enrol his son in an American school before his death, came to the United States at the invitation of his apprentice Bruce Lee. In the film, the other martial arts practitioners in Chinatown are very dissatisfied with Bruce Lee teaching the foreigner martial arts. This is because the Chinese, who are struggling to make a living in the United States, had been ostracised and slandered by the locals. From time to time, there will be endless troubles. “You don’t live here, you don’t know the difficulty of our survival here”. This film serves to express the aspirations and difficulties that all expats experience. If we want to have the same rights and get the same opportunities in other people’s territory, extra effort must be made. No matter where you are, life is never simply “peaceful”. “In your so-called easier years, someone else is shouldering your weight”. In our opinion, writing is the best cure to the difficulties we encounter and the source of our happiness, especially on the topics that we are interested in. 求学之路上遇到了许多许多的老师。有些留下格外深的印象。已然记不清楚是哪一位老师了，他说过人这一生中最重要的一点是要保持自己对事情的独立判断。有独立的思考、不能人云亦云。最近关于新冠疫情的信息在媒体上铺天盖地地涌来、让本来就嘈杂喧嚣的互联网等信息平台格外不宁静。如何合理筛选信息，用自己的辨析能力来获得有用的信息。同时不传谣、不信谣；不恐慌的同时也不要制造恐慌。因为无论什么样的日子都会过去、而你在这段日子里做的事情将会决定你未来的样子。
During my journey in academia, I had many teachers and some of them left a deep impression on me. I can’t remember which teacher it was, however, I remembered that he said that the most important thing in one’s life is to keep one’s independent judgment on things. Have independent thinking means that you cannot follow the advice of others blindly. Recently, information about the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic has poured in from the media, making the already noisy Internet and other information platforms especially restless. How can one go about screening the information reasonably and actively use one’s own ability to discriminate in order to purely pull out the useful information, while at the same time, not spread rumours? A good start is to not panic, do not believe rumours, and do not create panic. Because the good and bad days will pass, and what you sow during this time will determine how you are seen in the future.
持之以恒是一种特别好的品质。无论想不想做一件事情，都要做下去。可以这样想：如果我们只做自己想做的事情，那么我们能实现的事情就很少了。比如健身。你要做的并不是一定要等到意志力满格再出发。更正确的方式是首先要移步到健身房。当你开始做运动之后、你就会更开加心、接下来的完成训练就是自然而然的事情了。
Persistence is a particularly good quality. Whether you feel like doing something or not, you should just do it. Think of it this way: if we only did what we wanted to do, then what would we have achieved by the end of the day; likely very little. Exercise is a good example here and the real test is showing up to the gym first, persistence is employing maximum willpower to kick off, but, when you start doing the exercise, you will naturally be happier, more inclined to continue, then, completing the training becomes natural.
要觉得自己是最值得的人。与其述说别人的故事、不如花时间好好打造自己的个人品牌。如何包装好自己的简历、规划好自己的时间。不虚度年华、目标清晰、执行力强。想到的事情，就开始做吧！因为只要你花足够的时间去提升一项具体而务实的技能，你就会实现这个目标。无论是学开车、以有限的意大利语知识通过意大利语的驾照笔试、抑或是反复练习开车、一一战胜自己对道路、弯道和死亡的恐惧。最终顺利地首次通过考试都是已经兑现的人生目标。比如说刚刚购买人生第一辆新车的少年花很多时间去端详、清洗和照料自己的新车。同样，老年人花许多的时间修理玫瑰园。足够多的时间投入会解决任何问题。比如掌握一门新的语言、热情、兴趣和不计时间精力的投入。因为慢慢地自己会开始享受坚定迈向目标的旅程、也会更加优秀。我也比一开始更加喜欢自己的文字，因为时间都会慢慢把写作技能提高。也慢慢记起，自己是有多喜欢写东西！与生俱来的写作才华在反复锤炼中更加炉火纯青。同时花时间去建立同他人的关系、亲情、爱情和友情的维护都需要真挚的时间投入。这些用心做事、用心同人相处的时光都会人这一生中、极其美好的回忆。
Think of yourself as the most worthy person. Instead of telling other people’s stories, take the time to build your own personal brand; how to package your resume and plan your time. Don’t waste your time, have clear goals and strong execution skills. Think of things, and start doing them! Because as long as you spend enough time upgrading a specific and practical skillset, you will achieve your goals. Whether it is learning to drive, passing a written Italian test, even with limited knowledge of Italian, or conquering your fear of death, -one by one- it is all possible. If you take the driving test as an example, eventually, with enough practice, having built your personal brand i.e. built up the confidence necessary and set the goals, practiced enough; passing the exam successfully the first time is completely possible. In relation to the former point, teenagers who have just bought their first new car spend a lot of time studying, cleaning and caring for their new car; similarly, the elderly spend a lot of time trimming their rose gardens. Sufficient time investment and love will solve any problem and allow you to master any skill. Likewise, learning a new language requires enthusiasm, interest and devotion, regardless of the time and energy needed to complete the task. Slowly but surely, along the way, improvement through effort will propel you forward, giving you the impetus to continue. Writing is another example where time will improve my skillset, it is part of my personal brand, I like my writing more than I did in the beginning; it is a skill that grows on me each day.
Establishing relationships with others is just as important as building your personal brand, setting clear goals and having strong execution skills. It takes time to establish relationships with others, maintain family ties, build love and friendships. Time spent doing things with sincerity like, getting along with others, will improve this special kind of skill-set, your so-called “people skills”; it will bring about self-worth, satisfaction, all the while, creating lasting memories in your life.
不要努力过度。人生是长跑，我们并不需要短暂的胜利，我们需要的是长久可持续的发展。更重要的是能欣享当下、快乐向前。有陪伴、有真情、并且不留遗憾。想要联系的那个人、今天就动笔写封信、或是发个微信给他/她吧；多给家人打个电话，唠一些有的没的、会让老人开心一整天；今天就开始阅读和执行健身计划吧，时间如海绵里的水，挤一挤总是有的。生命转瞬既逝、我们要珍惜当下的每一刻。当日子变得更加艰难时，更好好好照顾、珍贵的自己。
Don’t burn yourself out for short term goals. Life is a long run, we don’t need short victories, we need long-term sustainable development. More importantly, in this way, we can enjoy the present and move forward happily, with company, true feelings and no regrets. That person you always wanted to contact yet somehow postponed, that letter you wanted to write today, just do it, make the effort, this is so much easier when you are not burned out. Setting a good stride and following your long term aspirations means you have the time to make more phone calls to your families, to talk about the small things in daily life, this is important and it will also make your family and friends happy all day; “Time is like the water in sponge, there’s always time for a squeeze”. Time is fleeting, we should cherish every moment along the way. When the days become more difficult, we instead, need take better care of ourselves to make it to the finish-line.
学会面对问题、分析问题和解决问题。意识到生命是一系列解决问题的过程。最近在读一本心理学的书：《少有人走的路》的英文原版《The Road less Traveled》。因为面对问题是困难的、所以很多人选择逃避。而短暂的回避并不会使问题自行解决、搁置的时间成本加上对未来的影响都需要偿还和处理，正所谓：“出来混、总是要还的”。良好的自我约束是实现所有事情的根基。很多脑子里一闪而过的想法，没有及时采纳和执行、而消失于世。当看到他人将自己的革命性创新点做成了享誉国际的大品牌、只能叹息：“话说老子也曾有过这个想法”。生命有限，想做的事情有上百万、而真正能从头到尾认真执行的，哪怕只有一件。也好歹感叹人生值得！在羲和葡萄酒传媒，我们每天都在出产葡萄酒相关内容，我们为自己的坚持而自豪。也不禁感叹、当一项任务融入血液、你就会去执行它。愿每一天、每一周的持之以恒将羲和品牌这粒种子呵护浇灌、发芽成长、终有一天、会被看见、会更有影响力！
Learn to face, analyse and solve problems. Realise that life is a series of problem-solving prLearn to face, analyse and solve problems. Realise that life is a series of problem-solving processes. I recently read “The Road less Traveled,” a book that really delves into the psychology of love, traditional values and spiritual growth. Since facing problems is difficult, many people choose to escape, however, short-term avoidance will not solve the problem by itself. The time cost of shelving an issue and the impact on your future will all need to be repaid and dealt with. The phrase “Sooner or later, your debts will always need to be repaid” is a great analogy here. Good self-discipline is the foundation of everything. The many ideas that flashed through our minds that were not adopted and carried out in time, they disappeared into the world, never to be seen again. When seeing others turn their revolutionary innovations into internationally renowned brands, then one can only sigh and say that “I once had that idea”. Time is limited and there are a million things you will want to do; you can indeed carry them out from beginning to end with good self-discipline; when you carry out at least one thing from the beginning to the end; in life , it’s worth it!
